Spring has Sprung

Summary


Spring is fast approaching. Sunrises now bring the melodic calls of cardinals, robins and many other birds which signal warm weather. Leaves are emerging and signs of life after a long, hard winter throughout the state are evident. It's a time cherished by many, and especially those who like to hunt gobbling turkeys.

It's a time when hunters young and old dress in funny clothes, wake during the wee hours of the morning and hoot, yelp, cluck and purr with high hopes of attracting a turkey. To those that don't know the magic of a gobbling tom, it may seem these individuals are a bit warped. One close encounter will make the first time turkey hunter a lifelong turkey hunter.
