Summary
Spring is fast approaching. Sunrises now bring the melodic calls of cardinals, robins and many other birds which signal warm weather. Leaves are emerging and signs of life after a long, hard winter throughout the state are evident. It's a time cherished by many, and especially those who like to hunt gobbling turkeys.
It's a time when hunters young and old dress in funny clothes, wake during the wee hours of the morning and hoot, yelp, cluck and purr with high hopes of attracting a turkey. To those that don't know the magic of a gobbling tom, it may seem these individuals are a bit warped.
