The Community Problem Solving Group at Washburn Rural Middle School coordinated a project in February called Quilt for the Cure. The group learned of the project through the American Patchwork and Quilt Magazine.

Students asked for and gathered pink and white quilt blocks that were made and donated by WRMS students, parents, staff and residents of Topeka. Anyone who contributed a quilt block received a candy rose, made by group members, as a thank you.
