Winter activities are beginning at Shawnee County North Community Center.
Shawnee North Community Park at 300 N.E. 43rd features a 15,555- square-foot community center, nature trail, soccer field, four- diamond ball complex, playground, sand volleyball courts, shelter house and tennis courts. Programs are held year-round for preschoolers through senior adults. Room and open-sided shelter house rentals are available for family gatherings, parties, meetings and special events.
