As the top two scoring teams in the MIAA, tonight's game between Washburn and Emporia State shapes up as a shootout. The Hornets average 94.1 points a game and have had seven 50-point halves this season, while the Ichabods average 89.3 points a game.

"We like to play at a fast pace and I know they like to play at a fast pace so it has that potential to be high-scoring," Washburn coach Bob Chipman said. "Emporia can score as well as anybody that's been in this conference for a while. They've been up in the 100s a lot and we like to up-tempo it."
