PITTSBURG --- Alison Garrett scored a total of seven points in Washburn's last two games, and the Lady Blues often are in trouble when their starting shooting guard doesn't produce points.

Garrett, though, was happy with her performance. Her focus in those two games was defense, and she, along with Erin Menard, shut down the opponents' leading scorers. Southwest Baptist's Amber Wheeler was averaging 14.5 points and Missouri Southern's Aubrie Hallman 15.9, but both managed only six points in losses to the Lady Blues.
