Police on Monday said the investigation into the death of a 39- year-old woman found at home in an advanced state of decomposition was a closed case.
Dr. Erik Mitchell, Shawnee County coroner, said Monday he had concluded his forensic analysis and had been unable to determine a cause and manner of death for Mary Shannon Smith. Mitchell said there was no evidence of physical violence or poisoning of the body.See the full content of this document
