Summary


Start with a laugh - Wah-Shun-Gah Days opens Friday in Council Grove with the comedy of Heywood Banks at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium, followed by music with Clearview at 9 p.m. on Main Street. The festivities continue Saturday with the Wah-Shun-Gah Days parade at 10 a.m. Entertainment continues throughout the day and evening, with Stacked Deck as the headlining band Saturday night. Activities on June 22 include the Wah-Shun-Gah Walk at 8 a.m. A carnival, craft fair and flea market run throughout the weekend. Admission is by festival button, which are $5 for adults ($6 during the festival) and $1 for children 12 and younger in advance. Information: (800) 732-9211.

Open market - Vendors of all kinds will line the streets in Paxico next weekend during the Traders Market. The market is open to all comers to sell merchandise, and booth space is free. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and June 22. Information: (785) 636- 8400.
