Despite more than a hundred inquiries coming in the past week, the Shawnee County Commission on Thursday voted unanimously to cancel uncashed checks from the treasurer's office dating to 2009.
The 3-0 vote came with the stipulation that people who claim they never got their check can go to the treasurer's office and, for $10, have the issue investigated, said Commissioner Shelly Buhler.
