Charity Strikes Twice with 300s at Gage North

Back when perfect games were more of a yearly (instead of weekly) event, Jim Charity once pocketed the $300 prize that Meadow Lanes awarded for a 300 game.

But that was more than 20 years ago, when Charity was bowling in as many as four leagues and, with practice, around 60 games a week.

Now a once-a-week bowler in the 4x4 League at Gage Bowl North, Charity, 59, thought his 300 days might be behind him.

He was wrong.

Two weeks ago, Charity, an assistant superintendent with J.E. Dunn, tossed the second sanctioned 300 of his career, then followed it up a week later with No. 3.
