Dylan Dozier, a Life Scout from Troop 52, was presented with the Medal of Merit. This past summer, Luke and Mercedes Scharbrough were playing at the home of their friend Dylan Dozier . Suddenly, 7- year-old Mercedes began to choke on a piece of a Slim Jim. Recalling his Scout training in CPR and first aid, Dylan asked Luke to call for help while he applied the Heimlich maneuver on Mercedes. His quick action dislodged the piece of meat, and Mercedes was able to breathe normally .See the full content of this document
