Humor Helps Beat the Heat

In a recent news story, a meteorologist was quoted as saying there was a 33 percent chance that temperatures for the rest of the summer would be below normal. Well, duh. I could have told him that. There are only three options -- temperatures will be lower, about the same or hotter. That is a one- in-three chance temperatures will be lower. And that rounds off to 33 percent.
